Research + Preparation = Opportunities

There are plenty of land and new build opportunities out there for estate agents. The key is knowing where to look to find them and what to do when you have.

We have an in-house team of land researchers who actively support our members by tracking planning data and new homes sites across the whole of the UK. Over the last few months we have provided an additional service to members to investigate in greater detail what opportunities were in each individual members area. We were recently asked by one of our members to do some digging (not literally) into what opportunities his agency might be missing out on.

Over a two day period our team visited all sites within the agent’s catchment area which had been planning consented within the last three years.

A couple of their findings leapt off the pages of the report we gave to our member.

There were 83 sites in total. Some of the key findings the research revealed were that 43 sites, with permission for 714 units, were yet to be built on.

17 sites were already under construction but without an instructed agent.

We used our proven systems, industry experience and some very clever prop tech to get that report over within 24 hours to our member containing details on all of the sites along with contact information.

There’s no need for us to spell out exactly what the correct and proactive use of this valuable data means to our member because he’s already working on turning it into instructions.
